It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our guiding light and beacon of hope, Iyalode Alaba Lawson MFR, FIoD, JP. A visionary leader, a trailblazer in commerce and education, and above all, a mother to all of us at NYE.

Iyalode’s impact on our lives and on the entrepreneurial landscape of Nigeria is immeasurable. Her unyielding faith in the potential of the Nigerian youth gave birth to this very platform we proudly represent today. She saw a future where every young mind, with a dream and determination, would be equipped with the tools and resources to shape our nation’s destiny.

She wasn’t just the founder of NYE; she was its soul. With every event, every training session, every mentorship program, her spirit was evident. Her belief in our potential, even when we doubted ourselves, pushed us to achieve more than we ever believed possible. She championed our causes, celebrated our successes, and stood by us during challenging times.

But beyond her monumental professional achievements, it was her warmth, her boundless compassion, and her genuine concern for each one of us that truly set her apart. To many, she was an icon of industry and empowerment. To us, she was family.

We are left with a void that can never truly be filled. But in our hearts, we know that the best way to honor Iyalode Alaba Lawson is to continue the work she started, to strive for excellence in all we do, and to carry forward the legacy of empowerment, innovation, and unity she instilled in NYE.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life magnificently lived, filled with purpose, passion, and unparalleled love. We are forever indebted to her for the paths she paved, the doors she opened, and the love she showered upon us.

Rest in peace, dear mother. You may have departed this world, but your spirit and vision will forever guide and inspire us.
