Dare-Obelawo

Prince Dare Obelawo was born in the early 80s into the royal family of High Chief Lawal Obelawo, OON, JP, a foremost industrialist who is the chairman and Executive Director of LOPIN Nigeria limited, a company that has been in existence since 1971. 

LOPIN is the first indigenous company to manufacture high quality UPVC pipes and HDPE plastic pipes such as drainage pipes, casing and screening pipes; threaded pipes, cable ducts, conduit pipes, pipe fittings, and sewage pipes. Its range of production of UPVC  pipes is from 20mm-500mm and for HDPE pipes 20mm-1200mm with pressure pipes (4-20bars).

Prince Obelawo is the Business Development Manager and one of the Directors of the LOPIN Nigeria Limited. He is also the Executive Director of DE-MERIDA NIGERIA LTD which is subsidiary of LOPIN LTD and the only authorized company to brand, market and sell LOPIN Company’s plastic pipes product. DE-MERIDA, which he founded is also into Business Development Consultancy, Business Management Consultancy, Project Management and Construction of roads. Its deals with Building and Construction  Materials, and Solar Energy/Inverter.

Dare is a council member of the Osun State Chamber of Commerce and Industrial (OSUNCIMA). He is also a former and Pioneer OF Osun State NYE Coordinator and the present Southwest Coordinator of NACCIMA Youth entrepreneurs. He is good at leadership, dispute resolution, communication, and interpersonal skill.  He has undergone various ISO training through the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with certificates in ISO 9000-2008, ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System – Lead Auditors, ISO  14001-2015 Environmental Management Systems- Leads Auditors Course, ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System- Lead Auditors Course and Training course on Good Government for Organized Private Sector.

He has attended numerous top-tier seminars, workshops, conference, and training programmes in Nigeria and some other countries. He has received various awards of excellence from both State and Federal Governments due to his commitment to the development of youths and entrepreneur in Nigeria. He is a devoted Christian and happily married and his hobbies include: playing, reading books, travelling and meeting people.
