NACCIMA YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS , OYO STATE CHAPTER ORGANISED A ONE-DAY FREE EXPORT TRAINING OF AGRO ALLIED PRODUCTS FOR OVER 300 YOUTHS ACROSS THE STATE.
The Oyo State Chapter of NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs organised a day FREE Export Training of Agro Allied Products for over 300 Youths across the State. The training which is aimed at promoting the involvement of youth across the state in the exportation of Agro commodities which is in abundance due to the agrarian nature of the State.
The training which was held on Thursday, 25th April, 2019 at the Ibadan Business School, Old Bodija, Ibadan was organised in conjunction with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) an agency for the promotion of non-oil export.
In attendance was the National President of NACCIMA Iyalode Alaba Lawson JP, MFR, FIoD represented by the President of Ibadan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Engr. Ismaila Olatunde Alapa, the Chairman of NACCIMA Export Group, Barrister Kola Awe, Mr. Toyin Ogunseinde, Head, Publicity, NEG and Mr. Adeniji Adeola Stephen, Desk Officer, NEG.
We also had in our midst the Commissioner for Youth and Sports and the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Cooperatives in the State.
The Director of Industry, Engr (Mrs) Olanrewaju Majeedat who represented the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, on seeing the mammoth crowd promised to facilitate the disbursement of some soft loans to some youths at a later date through NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs, Oyo State Chapter, while also addressing participants, Director of Youth Delopment, Mrs. Kudirat Mustapha who represented the Commissioner for Youths and Sports asked the youths to key into this laudable initiative and change their mindset from illegitimate ways of making proceeds from overseas to the legitimate one which is Export and promised the group immense support in their subsequent programmes.
The training which was schedule to start by 9am, had over 150 participants on ground at about 8am and in encouraging early arrival of participants in our subsequent trainings, cash gifts were presented to the first 10 participants to arrive the venue by Barrister Kola Awe. He also wowed the participants with his wealth of experience in the field of Export.
The speakers at the event include Mr. Gbemileke Ola, a young exporter of Agro commodities and cow horns in the State, Mrs Elizabeth Nwankwo of Oklan Best Industries, a well known exporter of Agro commodities and food items to all part of the world, Mr. Kazeem from the Quarantine Services and Mr. Francis Omotosho a professional in Export payment and logistics.
