In Loving Memory of a Trailblazer
Today, we honor the life, legacy, and enduring impact of Late Chief (Mrs.) Alaba Lawson, MFR, FIOD, JP — the visionary Founder of NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) and a true Amazon of commerce.
As the Iyalode of Yorubaland and the first female President of NACCIMA, Mama Alaba Lawson broke barriers and redefined leadership in Nigeria’s business ecosystem. Her foresight in establishing NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs laid a solid foundation for empowering young Nigerians with the values of enterprise, integrity, mentorship, and economic self-reliance.
Her passion for youth development went beyond words. She believed deeply in nurturing the next generation of business leaders and ensured that NYE became a platform where innovation, leadership, and opportunity could thrive. Through her guidance, countless young entrepreneurs found direction, confidence, and purpose.
Though she has transitioned, her vision remains alive in the work we do, the leaders we raise, and the communities we serve. Her legacy continues to inspire excellence, unity, and service across the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs network.
We remember her not only as a leader, but as a mentor, a mother, and a pathfinder whose impact will forever be etched in the history of youth entrepreneurship in Nigeria.
Continue to rest in perfect peace, our Founder and Global Convener.
Your light lives on through us.
