CHARTING A BOLD FUTURE: NACCIMA YOUTH ENTREPRENEURS MEET WITH NACCIMA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The leadership of the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE), led by the newly appointed National Coordinator, Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi paid a courtesy visit to the President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, FIoD, OON, MNI, and members of the National Council on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Association’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting served as an official presentation of the new NYE National Executive Council and a platform to discuss strategic plans, upcoming initiatives, and areas of collaboration for youth enterprise development across Nigeria and the African continent.
Highlights from the NYE Coordinator’s Address
In her address, Amb. Dr. Sameera expressed deep appreciation to the NACCIMA President for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and enterprise development. She emphasized the readiness of the new NYE leadership to work collaboratively with the parent body and other stakeholders to champion inclusive growth and innovation among Nigerian youth.

Strategic Initiatives and Programs Presented
Dr. Sameera unveiled a robust Two-Year Strategic Agenda (2025–2027) under the theme: “From Ideas to Impact: Building Nigeria’s Next Generation of Entrepreneurs”.
Key programs and initiatives include:
African Youth Investment Forum (AYIF) – A Pan-African initiative to foster regional cooperation and investment in youth-led enterprises.

International Youth Day Celebration – To be held on August 30, 2025, themed: “Fostering Youth Innovation and Green Skills for Growth and Global Sustainability”
Launch of the National Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NYCCI) – A specialized platform for youth-led economic advocacy and collaboration.
Online Sensitization Series – Bi-weekly webinars to raise awareness on entrepreneurship opportunities.
NYCCI Business Clinic & National Cooperative Society – To offer mentorship, financial services, and credit access to youth-owned businesses.
Regional Programs & State-Level Interventions – Including “One Region, One Program” and “One State, One Product” to encourage innovation tied to local strengths.
NYCCI Microfinance Bank – A long-term plan to facilitate youth SME funding.
National Strategic Retreat & Anniversary Events – For planning and performance review.
Leadership Response
The NACCIMA President and some members of the National Council present responded positively to the presentation. They commended the NYE leadership for its bold vision, structured plans, and proactive engagement. The leadership expressed pride in the growth and evolution of the NYE, acknowledging the team’s efforts as a beacon of hope for sustainable youth-led economic transformation in Nigeria and beyond.

These senior officials commended their resilience and contributed meaningfully to the conversation, drawing attention to critical areas of support and offering valuable insights on the way forward. Their interventions reinforced the importance of resource alignment, institutional backing, and targeted capacity-building for the success of youth entrepreneurship initiatives under NYE.
Conclusion
The national president asked the team of two priorities they wanted NACCIMA to do for them and gave them three things to think on, namely: artificial intelligence/ machine learning, cybersecurity, and climate change.
Dr. Sameera reaffirmed the NYE’s commitment to building a greener, tech-driven, and inclusive economy. She emphasized that Nigerian youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the changemakers of today — ready to write a bold new chapter in Nigeria’s economic history, with the continued backing of NACCIMA leadership.
Part of the delegation, Mr. Fife Banks and the deputy president of Kastina Chamber of Commerce gave the vote of thanks, appreciating the leadership for giving them listening ears and shoulders to stand tall on.
