NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs Mourn the Passing of Former President Muhammadu Buhari
The NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) extend our deepest condolences on the passing of former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who died on July 13, 2025, in London.
As an organisation committed to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership among Nigerian youth, we reflect with respect and gratitude on the legacy of President Buhari. His life was marked by disciplined leadership, a strong stand against corruption, and a deep commitment to national service.
During his administration, youth-led businesses and entrepreneurial initiatives received increased recognition and support through policies and programs designed to promote self reliance and sustainable development. Initiatives such as the National Youth Investment Fund, N-Power, and strategic support for agriculture and small businesses provided many young Nigerians with opportunities to grow, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to the national economy.
President Buhari’s efforts to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria, simplify registration processes, and expand access to funding were instrumental in reducing stress for startups and small business owners. His leadership laid important groundwork that many young entrepreneurs continue to build upon today.
While his style of governance sparked diverse opinions, we recognize that his commitment to discipline, accountability, and national unity left an enduring mark on Nigeria’s democratic and developmental trajectory.
As the youth arm of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), we pledge to uphold the values of integrity, patriotism, and resilience that defined his public life.
We pray for strength for his family, the government, and all Nigerians during this period of national mourning. May his soul rest in peace.
Signed,
Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi
National Coordinator
